I used to have thrown a lot of coffee cup filters from all my coffee maker, which is not at all environmental friendly. Wanda, my wife would complain that some filters I used before just doesn’t seems like it could be recyclable. So when my current coffee maker released its Keurig-Cup Reusable coffee filter, I just had this urge to try it.
My first impression upon receiving it was that it doesn’t look like any cheap reusable filters. Its black frame is sturdy and does not look like its made from low quality materials. I then tried brewing my usual 1-½ tablesppon of coffee and was satisfied that it doesn’t affect the taste at all. Cleaning it up is also easy and only takes you a couple of minutes. Remove the filter and clean it under running water then its ready for its next brewing.
This totally saves a lot of money rather than buying many filters and it is a green move towards nature too. Although it is not compatible to most models of Keurig, but it definitely beats out spending a few dollars every now and then. At least now, I don’t have the feeling of guilt of adding up to the unusable waste that ruins our environment.

Exclusive to the Keurig Home Brewing System, this reusable K-Cup coffee filter allows users to enjoy their own gourmet ground coffee in a Keurig brewer. Made of a mesh metal filter with durable plastic framing, the unit can hold up to about 2 tablespoons of ground coffee. The black plastic K-Cup holder from the coffeemaker’s filter assembly must first be removed before using the reusable coffee filter.
After each use, remove the filter to rinse it clean under running water. It’s then ready to use again for brewing more cups of coffee. The filter only works in Keurig home brewers B40 Elite, B50 Ultra, and B60 Special Edition. It does not fit B100, B100P, or B2000/3 Keurig brewers.
